London Calling

How exciting!! A few days from now, The Wombat will be leaving for London. To make the most of it, The Wombat is determined to read each and every travel guide and study the London map. Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, the Tower of London, our furry friend will be well prepared!

Thank You for Being a Friend

The Wombat has a lot of friends, but one really special friend is Ghibli. The Wombat always feels nice and comfortable around Ghibli.

They laugh a lot and they talk a lot together. And sometimes they just lie down daydreaming.

Only once in a while The Wombat doesn't like that they are never alone: White Thing is always there to accompany Ghibli. Sometimes The Wombat just feels like the fire on the side.

Jurassic Park

The Wombat ran into a dinosaur!!

No, not really of course!
The Wombat is very interested in prehistoric creatures. It took a while to build with those little puffy paws, but look: The Wombat just finished a model of a Stegosaurus (that is even bigger than its creator).

Slooshy sloshy slooshy sloshy. Water and soap everywhere. And those big brushes! The Wombat just loves going through a Car Wash!

The Wombat Met Tori Amos!

The Wombat went to a Tori Amos concert last week in Amsterdam.

At first, The Wombat had to wait with other Tori fans to meet and greet the redhaired American singer/songwriter/pianist. There even was an incident in which The Wombat nearly fainted in the hot sun and fell on the floor, much to the shock of many Toriphiles.

But Tori didn't come outside. She was caught up with interviews and soundchecks and had no time to take a photo with our favorite marsupial.

When the show was over, however, Tori took her time to meet and bond with The Wombat. She was amazed by our friend's endless cuteness and is already looking forward to rejoin with The Wombat in London this July.

Dom!

Yesterday The Wombat visited a friend in the city of Utrecht. Always keen on sightseeing, The Wombat made a little detour to look at the tall Dom Tower in all its glory.

The Wombat on Wings

All good things must come to an end. After 5 days in Rome The Wombat had to return home.

It's the same at every airport: just waiting and waiting.

When patience ran out, The Wombat went to check if they were already boarding, but there was no one at the gate yet.

But finally The Wombat was on his way home! The view from the plane was beautiful. "That cloud, that cloud looks like Ireland!", said The Wombat.

A Roman Holiday

At the End of May The Wombat spent a well deserved holiday in Rome.
From the top of the Castle Sant'Angelo The Wombat had a beautiful view of St. Peter's Cathedral and the Vatican. The Pope asked for a meeting, but The Wombat was too caught up with sightseeing to meet the Holy Father's request.

To cross the Eternal City, The Wombat did as the Romans do: use a Vespa!

And of course in Italy you have to use the right accessories.

Visiting all the great sites of Rome, The Wombat sometimes felt very humble.

The Trevi Fountain by night. The Wombat tossed a coin for good luck and a quick return to this beautiful city!
